Expected to launch later this year, Sony’s new earbuds draw significant design inspiration from the PlayStation and incorporate innovative wireless technology. This advancement reportedly enables the earbuds to produce lossless audio with minimal latency.

The specifications of Sony’s PlayStation wireless earbuds are yet to be released, but a few features can be inferred from the teaser video. The earbuds appear to have physical volume buttons, marked with + and – symbols on each piece.

The PlayStation-themed earbuds, available in black and white, share a design philosophy with the PlayStation 5, leading to speculation that they may feature noise cancellation. The carrying case is shown to have a sliding mechanism, aligning with the aesthetic of the DualSense controller and includes a light bar that flashes in yellow, with potential green and red light indications.

Jim Ryan, President of Sony Interactive Entertainment, declared that these PlayStation-exclusive wireless earbuds are designed for use with the PS5 and PCs and can also “simultaneously connect to smartphones via Bluetooth.”

While the earbuds are confirmed to be compatible with Project Q, PS5, and PCs, it remains unclear if they will be compatible with PSVR 2.

Further details about these PlayStation-exclusive wireless earbuds will be disclosed by Sony in the upcoming months, indicating that interested individuals might have to wait a bit longer for comprehensive information.

The PlayStation Showcase also offered a preview of the Project Q handheld device, which strongly resembles an enlarged DualSense controller with a central screen. Other highlights of the event included a brief teaser for Project Q, as well as showings of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.

Sony has announced the new controller on their blog post mentioning that they are shipping out the final version of it to their developers working with them exclusively.

As well as the design refresh, the controller now has the Type-C USB port for charging.

Talking about the new things on the controller, Sony has replaced the Share button with the Create button which you can see in the image below. The button will bring on the same Share button features as well some new features on which Sony simply said that they’d talk about more later.

The triggers of the controller also look slightly redesigned. On the blog post, Sony mentioned that the L2 and R2 trigger now have adaptive triggers built-in so that the players can truly feel the tension of their actions. They also mentioned that the controller now has more sensitive and more varied vibrations which make the name DualSense worthy for the new controller.

The controller now has a built-in microphone which you can push to quick chat while playing, but a headset is always recommended if you want to get the pure gaming experience.

Place your PS4 in a clean space, make sure that dust doesn’t goes in. You can open up the PS4 and clean it carefully removing any dust or cleaning the fans mainly.
