Google is up to some new launches this year. The company is reported to launch an inbuilt home innovation to provide better services to its customers – a debit card that will help customers make online and store purchases.

The project is marked to improve the existing Google Pay app, which currently supports only online payment. With debit card services, the company will be able to get better insights. It will now be easy for all the customers to purchase things with cards and monitor the transactions they make.

This Google project is much similar to Apple’s past credit card project, but the company is currently settling with a debit card linked with bank partners such as Citi and Stanford Federal Credit Union. Later, the card might also get an updated version to a Master Card.

It was last year when Apple launched its “Apple Card”, which was designed for all the Apple users for a better and convenient way to make financial transactions. Though the card serves the purpose of a simple credit card, it was reported to attract many users.

The leak reported that Google’s smart debit card will be much advanced than any other normal debit card and will be able to provide better transaction details and payment tracking methods. Currently, the app is limited only to an online service. Now, with a physical debit card service, it is extending its technology roots. Well, if the project is successful, Google will be definitely looked upon by many organizations for banking, financial advice, accounting, insurance etc.

Well, the company is surely handling huge data and this makes them focus more on managing the data and risks associated with it. In this COVID-19 outbreak, Google will surely be getting many helping hands from the financial sector to generate high revenues to lift up the share market.

In one of the interviews, Google was seen stating – “We’re exploring how we can partner with banks and credit unions in the US to offer smart checking accounts through Google Pay, helping their customers benefit from useful insights and budgeting tools while keeping their money in an FDIC or NCUA-insured account. Our lead partners today are Citi and Stanford Federal Credit Union, and we look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.” The statement surely confirms that the company is building new inventions and user experiences.

Considering other launches by Google, we can trust in its services from the past. The Google Card looks more classy and different from other debit cards with an electronic chip embedded and green, blue dots circular pattern. However, the app usability sets the card stand out from other debit cards. Looks like the card is going to be more trendy among the youngsters and since it is google, users are going to get a wealth of information and offers.
