Gone are the days when you could only express your reactions like love, care, and sadness on Facebook. This week, Facebook finally rolled out its Avatar feature in the United States, introducing it in some countries earlier in 2019.Facebook’s Avatar is very similar to Snapchat’s Bitmoji. These Avatars can be a part of your Facebook stories, messenger chats, and comments.
According to Fidji Simo, ( Head of Facebook App):“In these times, when online interactions make our lives interesting, people should be able to express themselves in better ways. These Avatars will let people increase their engagement with a personal touch making the whole experience a lot more authentic.”
Now gauging your excitement, we would like to guide you in your journey to make your Avatar of awesomeness.
Step 1: In the Facebook app, click on the horizontal lines in the bottom right corner on the screen.
Step 2: Tap on “ See More”
Step 3: Tap on “Avatars”
Step 4: There it is, get started
In the Avatars, a lot of customization is available. You can choose from various skin tones to get the best fit. There are options when it comes to face-shapes, hair color, eyecolor, hairstyles,eye shape, makeup, outfits, and body shapes. For those who enjoy the perfection, there are sections for even complexion and face lines.Once you are done with the customizations, Tap “ Next “ and then “ Done”. To share it with your friends, click on the arrow situated in the top right corner of the screen. The newly created Avatar can also be set as your temporary profile picture.
To view, Avatar stickers, tap on the sticker icon, there you can see various stickers for your Avatar. If you still want to make changes to your Avatar, then click on the pencil icon. Avatars will be more fun when used in comment section; to do so, tap on “ Comment”, then tap on the smiley besides “GIF” then click on your Avatar’s face situated at the bottom of your click. And Voila! There you are blessing the post with your awesome Avatar.
